Janusz Bil has been President of the Management Board of ORLEN Neptun, an offshore wind competence center in the ORLEN Group, since June 2024.
He is a graduate of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Informatics and Automatics at the Technical University of Lodz and the Faculty of Economics and Sociology at the University of Lodz. Since the beginning of his professional career, he has been associated with the energy sector, passing through all career levels and gaining managerial experience in national and international corporations. From 1995 to 1998 he worked as an engineer at the Lodz-Teren Power Plant (now the Lodz Branch of PGE Dystrybucja), and then (1998-2002) at the Tariff Department of the Energy Regulatory Office. From 2002 to 2004, he worked at Warsaw's Stoen, where he served as Member of the Management Board for Marketing and Trade. After the company was acquired by the RWE concern, he was responsible for the entire regulatory area. Between 2004 and 2011, he was associated with Vattenfall, initially as Director of Sales at the Warsaw CHP plants, and later as Director of Regulation and Market Development at Vattenfall Poland. From 2012 to 2013, he was Vice President of the Management Board for Sales at ENEA SA, at the same time directing the entire work of the ENEA capital group as Acting President of the Board for several months. From 2014 to 2017, he was Director of Business Development at Ramboll Poland, a company owned by Danish Rambøll - one of the largest engineering consulting companies with global reach. From 2017 to 2024, he was associated with the British Embassy in Warsaw as Director of Energy and Renewable Sources. Immediately prior to becoming CEO of ORLEN Neptun, he led as Country Manager a team of consultants from Forte Renewables Poland - a company founded in 2012 in Amsterdam specializing in technical consulting for photovoltaic and onshore and offshore wind projects.
