Emilia Makarewicz is an experienced business leader with more than 12 years of experience, currently serving as Director of the Hydrogen and Gas Projects Department at Polenergia S.A. She is responsible for shaping and executing the hydrogen strategy at Polenergia Group. She supervises the development of projects, which include especially the construction of a large-scale hydrogen plant with a capacity of about 105 MW - H2Silesia in Upper Silesia, under IPCEI's Hy2Infra EU program, and the most advanced project - H2HUB Nowa Sarzyna, which involves the construction of a 5 MW plant on the site of the Nowa Sarzyna CHP Plant.
She is an expert in the Polish energy sector focused on the development of the renewable energy and green hydrogen market. As a strategic advisor, she supported giants such as Vattenfall, Ericsson and others in developing their operations in Poland. She promoted Japanese technologies and companies in the home market, and enhanced relations between Polish industry and the Land of the Rising Sun. As the originator of the Podkarpacie Hydrogen Valley and the Silesia-Malopolska Hydrogen Valley, she is an active promoter of RES, contributing to building a clean energy future.
